Although, this tea is a caffeine-rich herbal tea that can be enjoyed by most people, however, some people may need to limit their intake due to the potential side effects of caffeine, such as anxiety, insomnia, and digestive issues. It is generally recommended to limit caffeine consumption to 400 mg per day, which translates to around 5-7 cups of Yaupon tea.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with severe anxiety, or people with certain health conditions may need to limit their intake even further. It is important to note that there are limited human studies on the effects of yaupon extract, so it is best to consult with a healthcare professional before consuming it.

More importantly, people with certain health conditions, such as anxiety, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heart disease, or impaired liver or kidney function, may also need to limit their intake of caffeine.
